Dzogchen Teachings on Meditation From the Writings of Dudjom Lingpa
Saturday, September 4
9:30am - 12:30pm & 2:00pm - 5:00pm
$60.00 - 5729 W. Grover St., Boise, ID.
Lama Dechen Yeshe Wangmo
Dudjom Lingpa
Dudjom Lingpa, one of the most famous of all treasure revealers, never had a human teacher. Instead, through the power of pure vision he dialogued with buddhas in their purelands. During his lifetime, he revealed the lineage of the "New Treasures of Dudjom" describing his teachings as very suitable for the beings of these dark Kali Yuga. (Read a short biography of Dudjom Lingpa here.)
Dudjom Lingpa's teachings are Dzogchen or Great Perfection, the highest teachings according to the Nyingma lineage. The principle subject of Dzogchen is the direct perception of the fundamental nature of reality. Using clear and direct language, Dudjom Lingpa explains the fundamental principles and teachings of Dzogchen, its key points, and possible misunderstandings and pitfalls. For example, in clarifying the experience of meditation, he points out: "If you don't know how to distinguish between mind and awareness, in meditation, you will confuse mind for awareness and this will prevent liberation. So you must know how to distinguish them!"
Crucial teachings such as these are not found in published Dharma books. Lama Yeshe Wangmo received these distinctive teachings from Lama Tharchin Rinpoche, who received them from Dudjom Rinpoche, Jigdral Yeshe Dorje, the direct incarnation of Dudjom Lingpa. We welcome all those interested to benefit from this opportunity to deepen their understanding and experience of meditation and path to enlightenment.

The female buddha, Yeshe Tsogyal, Ocean of Wisdom Awareness, is an inspired expression of highest realization. When we enter her symbolic universe, we walk into highest consciousness, a realm of attuned awareness that can guide us into our own true nature which is the heart of everything. Even when we seem lost in a cloud of not knowing, if we guide ourselves with highest understanding, the transformative experience of meditation, and the blessings of our teachers, we can quickly reclaim the truth of our inner enlightenment. In this process, we also realize that we no longer have to depend on anything. We are free to be fully conscious and to live as a noble display of wisdom awareness.

Her dharma path began in 1978 with the Venerable Kalu Rinpoche and continues today with Lama Tharchin Rinpoche who authorized her to teach in 1992. Yeshe's passion lies not only in the philosophy and application of Vajrayana to contemporary life, but also in supporting others in their personal journeys. She is the founder and president of Jnanasukha (Wisdom Bliss), a non-profit organization dedicated to the lineage of the female buddha Yeshe Tsogyal in the West. She is also the director of Lotus Gate Sanctuary on the Big Island of Hawai'i. In the past four years she has trained in Hakomi, the most widely used mindfulness-based and body-centered therapy in the world. For more information, please visit her personal website.
